Stratford Racecourse, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire CV37 9SE
Located just 15 mins. from Junction 15 of the M40 (approx. 14 miles from M42 Birmingham, 80 miles from M25 London), Stratford Racecourse is one of the country’s leading horse-racing venues with many of the top jockeys riding here. Races take place regularly between March and November.
We are therefore delighted this prestigious venue will be hosting the ADVENTURE TRAVEL & OVERLAND SHOW, not just this year, but onwards right up until at least 2023.
With acres of space available, Stratford Racecourse is ideally suited to accommodate major national events such as our ‘little’ get-together.
Facilities include …
Permanent toilet blocks with showers, a massive campsite featuring a “Quiet Camping Area”, Club Display Stands where the members can camp directly behind the actual Display Stand itself, a greatly increased Display Vehicles Area, a large room housing the ever-popular Seminar Sessions, a breakfast and tea room, plus a catering area with licensed beer tent featuring live music Friday & Saturday nights.
Put it this way, Stratford Racecourse is light years away from the faceless county showgrounds so often used by show organisers these days. Instead, devoid of all the usual issues such as evening noise and cramped camping conditions, the racecourse has a relaxed friendly feel reminiscent of days gone by. It is also very secure with one main gate staffed 24 hours a day.
More good news is that camping fees have been kept low – only £25 per unit for up to 3 nights – meaning that clubs and groups can make the ADVENTURE TRAVEL & OVERLAND SHOW into a ‘late summer camping weekend’ that everyone can afford. We continually strive to provide something that has been lacking in the show scene for some time … value for money!
Organised by true overland travel enthusiasts who are in it for the long haul, the ADVENTURE TRAVEL & OVERLAND SHOW is an event designed specifically with ‘us’ in mind, so rest assured a lot of thought went into selection of the venue. Obviously we want visitors to feel thoroughly welcome and to enjoy themselves, that way you will return for years to come.
We therefore hope you support and enjoy the show at our long term home!
